Ohio Republicans Introduce Bill for Community Solar Pilot Project Columbus, Ohio

Two Republicans in Ohio introduced a bill that would allow the development of community solar systems as part of a statewide pilot project. HB 197 would pave the way for 1,500MW of community solar and award special grants for brownfield projects.

DOE Announces Solar Energy Workforce Development Program Recipients Washington, DC

The Department of Energy announced 12 projects selected for negotiations to launch training partnerships that expand the solar energy workforce in disadvantaged and underrepresented communities across the country. The projects include two SPW Top Solar Contractors and the Amicus O&M Cooperative.

The Interstate Renewable Energy Council released its Freeing the Grid Interconnection Grades, which rank each state in the nation on the quality of its interconnection policies. Of the 39 states and territories that have statewide interconnection procedures, only New Mexico received an A for its interconnection rules.
